Monsoon slows down during last week

New Delhi: With most parts of India getting less than normal rains during the last one week, the country’s cumulative monsoon rains also fell below the normal mark.

With the eastern and north-eastern states reporting a dry spell last week, rainfall was 23% below Long Period Average (LPA), India Meteorological Department (IMD) said on Friday.
